Mid-level medical provider (PA/NP)
Full-time | Western North Carolina
We are seeking a Mid-Level Medical Provider (PA/NP) to provide trauma-informed care for children within local Children’s Advocacy Centers. This role supports children impacted by abuse and neglect across Western NC (Waynesville, Sylva, Bryson City, Franklin).
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct child medical evaluations, document findings, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (law enforcement, child protective services, prosecutors, victim advocates), participate in medical peer review, and provide community education on child abuse prevention.
Qualifications:
Licensed PA or NP with pediatric experience (child abuse pediatrics experience preferred).
Must be or become rostered through UNC’s Child Medical Evaluation Program (support provided).
Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills required.

Collaborative Effort
Child Medical Collaborative was established in 2021 to provide medical care for child abuse victims in rural Western North Carolina. Our team of dedicated medical providers travel to area Child Advocacy Centers to provide compassionate care to children in a comforting place, located in their own community. All medical providers have specialized training to diagnose and treat child abuse and are rostered by the North Carolina Child Medical Evaluation Program at UNC-Chapel Hill.
CMC is a private, non-profit organization created specifically to treat child abuse victims. No child or their family will ever receive a bill from Child Medical Collaborative for services.
